Thanks for the cute dress Bonnie.

Easter

For Easter we went to Grandma's and Grandpa's house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. It was fun to get together with everyone. It was a little rainy but we had fun anyway. The kids had fun making bird nests and they really enjoyed eating a lot of candy.

Snow in April

Hannah and William enjoyed waking up one morning to almost a foot of snow. Can you believe it snowed that much in the middle of April? I like having snow storms like this. When it snows a lot and is warm enough to enjoy playing outside, then it melts within a day or two.

Kites

A few days after the snow storm it was a perfect day for kite flying. We have just enough room in our back yard to fly a kite as long as it stays up in the air. It only got tangled in our neighbors tree once. It was a lot of fun though. I never knew that Jake was so good at kite flying.

Brooklyn loves swing outside. I was trying to catch the funny faces that she makes when she is swinging.

William's black eye

One night William went running into the bathroom to spit after brushing his teeth and tripped. He landed on an open drawer, and his head hit the corner of the drawer. He started crying and I went to help him and there was blood everywhere. I thought for sure that we were going to be going to the ER. I got some paper towels and tried to stop the bleeding. I can't believe how much head wounds bleed. After we got it cleaned up a little we could finally tell where he got hurt. It was right by his eye, and it ended up being a puncture wound, and not as bad as I first thought. It would have been really bad if he would have hit his eye. Everything turned out ok. I am so grateful for Priesthood blessings. He was able to sleep through the night, and the next morning it was amazing how much better it looked. The puncture looked a lot better, his eye was swollen, and he had a nice black eye. This picture was a few days after it happened.

The month of April

We celebrated Brooklyn's birthday on April 1st. First birthdays are always so much fun, and it was fun to see Brooklyn get excited about all of the attention. We had a fun family party with Jake's family. Brooklyn is so much fun to have in our family and Hannah and William adore her. She loves all of the attention she gets from Hannah and William. Brooklyn loves her blanket and sucks on it just like Hannah used to. She lights up every time dad walks into the room. She is definitely a girl. She loves new clothes. Every time Brooklyn puts on new clothes she gets so excited and giggly. Whenever she goes into our toy room, the first thing she finds is a toy comb, and then she tries to brush her hair or will find someone's hair to comb. She loves playing Barbies with Hannah, and one of her favorite things is to have Hannah push her around in the stroller. I always thought that at least one of my girls would be a little tomboy, but so far my girls would rather have their hair done, play with Barbies, and dress up, and I am glad. I love my girlie girls.
