Halloween Party

Thanks Lacy and Ben for putting on a great Halloween party.

So do you recognize Jake? Jake dressed up as Riley Nelson, number 13 on the BYU football team. It is kind of a funny story, and if you haven't heard of him, he is a quarterback for BYU who had long hair (having long hair is against BYU honor code). After a particular BYU football game there was quite a bit of talk about his hair. If you haven't seen this video, (sorry, don't know how to link it) but here is the link

you will have to take a look. Then the whole hair joke will make a little more sense.

William's birthday

William had a whole weekend of parties for his birthday... lucky boy. On Friday we went up to my sister's place, went on a witch hunt at Gardner's Village (pictures below) and hung out at her place. That night he picked out popcorn shrimp for dinner and a cake made out of donuts.

The next day on Saturday we woke up and had a birthday breakfast for my little guy. We had cinnamon roll pancakes. SUPER yummy pancakes. William usually out eats all of us at breakfast no matter what we are eating. When we are eating pancakes a small breakfast for him is at least 5 pancakes and he always requests having "2 on top" to start out with. This morning I told him he could have as many "on top" as he wanted because it was his birthday so he requested 4. Well, these are really good, but super rich and that was the first time he left pancakes on his plate. You should try these pancakes (no syrup needed). They would probably be great for desert. Search for them on pinterest.

Later that day we went to grandma's and grandpa's house for our annual harvest party which is always so much fun. There we had a little scavenger hunt for William's birthday. I love birthdays.

Why do I love William?...
I love his smile and how his brown eyes light up when he smiles.
I love how nice he is to all of his sisters and loves to play with them.
He shares a room with Katie, and I love how at bed time he stays up and sings to her or reads her stories when she is crying or won't go to sleep.
At night he always calls Jake and I back in to tell us, to "sleep good and have good dreams".
When I drop him off at school, I tell him to have fun at school, he tells me "I hope you have fun at home".
I love that he enjoys cleaning toilets.
I love that when he really wants to learn something he will focus on it until he figures it out.
He loves to read and do his homework, he loves hot wheels, but most of all he love Mario Bros on the Wii. He would probably play it all day if I let him.
I love my little boy, who is not so little anymore. He is the same size as Hannah and I have been asked before if they were twins.
He is just so sweet and I love him so much!!

Well...

Most of you probably know this by now, but we are expecting baby #5, and we are so excited. We found out that it is going to be a little girl!! William was again a little sad to not be getting a little brother, but he is going to be one special brother to all his sisters!
I am about 27 weeks and feeling so much better. I think morning sickness is the pits, and I am glad that something good comes from feeling so sick, but that doesn't make me feel any better when I am throwing up. I can't complain to much though because so far this pregnancy as been a lot easier than my others. I did discover how helpful my kids where. Before I was sick my kids had their traditional jobs that they was do each day, but while I was sick and not able to do most everything I discovered that William loves to clean the toilet, and does pretty good, Brooklyn loves to clean the bathroom sinks, and both William and Hannah love to do the dishes and clean the kitchen sink. They would do a great job and my kitchen would always be smelling of soap after they were done, which is so much better than left over food. I did notice once when they were cleaning the kitchen exactly how much soap they used, it was about a half of a bottle, but at the time I was just glad that the kitchen was smelling good and was clean. My kids were such a great help during those few months, and so was Jake, and everyone else who helped out with food and my kids. Thanks a ton!!

Farewell to Jared!!

On September 28th Jake's brother went into the MTC, soon to head to the Philippines. He is going to be such a great missionary. We are all going to miss him, but the kids will especially. He is a really fun uncle!!

You can only take one vehicle into the MTC to drop off your missionary, so we all parked nearby and squished into the Astro Van. We fit 20 people in there. It was a little squishy but so worth it to see Jared off, and see all the missionaries and feel of the excitement and the spirit that is at the MTC. (Even in the parking lot)
