Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year with our pumpkin carving, Halloween parade at the elementary school, face painting and trick-or-treating.

Our Elementary school is doing the Road to Success reading program. The way the program works is whenever the students read a certain amount of time they get their names entered into a drawing, and two student's names were drawn in the month of October and they each won a bike. Hannah was one of those names drawn. She was so excited to win the bike, and be on their falcon TV at school, but a little apprehensive because the winner of the bikes were suppose to lead the Halloween parade with the fire chief dalmatian mascot. I had to talk her into going to school that day, which was also the day of the Halloween party, because she just didn't want to walk by the dog in the parade. Hannah was glad she went and at the end of the parade she was having a good time.

After painting Hannah's face for her witch costume for the school parade William and Brooklyn wanted their faces painted.

For Trick-or-treating we had two cute ballerinas and one awesome spiderman. We ventured out in the freezing rain and wind, made it up and down our street, and the kids were ready to come home and were completely satisfied with their 10 pieces of candy. I think they were more excited about the hot chocolate we were going to have after going home because they were soaking wet and freezing. We had a good time though.

William's Birthday

I love my sweet little William!! He brings so much life and joy into our home and he keeps us smiling. He reminds me a lot of Jake. We had a great day. He had requested pumpkin soup for dinner and candy pumpkins on his pumpkin flavor cake, so we decided to have a pumpkin party and played a few pumpkin games to top off the pumpkin theme.

What we love about William...

His smile, and jokes. I love when his big brown eyes light up when he is happy, and when he is happy it is almost like he can't hold it in so he shares it with everyone, giving everyone hugs and kisses. He is such a great brother to his sisters and takes such great care of them. Katie loves whenever he is around. Whenever I tell him he is my favorite little William, he tells me that I am his favorite little mommy.
I love the things he comes up with. He was once telling me about his cold pokies (goosebumps). He told me that he never gets cold because when the cold comes to his arms, the cold pokies just poke the cold away. He loves creating things. He told me once he wanted to make a craft. I told him I didn't have anything to make it with, and he said, all I need is some garbage and I can make my craft. He makes some pretty cool things out of the garbage that I have.
William loves to collect things. He always has something in his hand that he carries around all day. I finally got him a bucket to put all of his little treasures in. Here is a picture of his most recent collection. I think there is even a moldy carrot in there he won't let me throw away. It might just disappear one of these days.

He loves to play computer games, and play school. One day when we were playing school he told me that he wanted to change Brooklyn's name to Lana because Brooklyn was to hard to write and spell, and Lana was much easier.

We love our little William!!

The perfect fall day

On Saturday we went to my Grandma's to pick apples for her. I see fresh apple sauce and apple cobbler in our future.

Then we went for a little hike up to Stewart Falls. I wasn't sure if our kids would make it all the way, but I think it helped that there was a waterfall at the end of the hike. That was great motivation for them.

The fall colors were beautiful up there. I wish that a picture could capture how beautiful it really was.

That night we had our annual Harvest party. We ate yummy soups, played games, decorated cookies and pumpkins and had a great time.

Halloween Party

This past weekend we had our Halloween party. Lacy always has a Halloween party and she always does a great job planning it.

At the party we had a little lamb, Spiderman, witches, a clown...

... a pirate, a super dog,...

...Shrek and his lady, and a hillbilly.

We also had some yummy creepy food.

I love this picture of Hannah.

We played pin the nose on the Jack-o-lantern,

and we make gingerbread houses out of homemade graham crackers (thanks to Lacy and Ben).
Lacy's and Ben's house looked professionally haunted, Lindsay's and Adam's was cute haunted and...

mine turned out scary haunted.

Kids pictures

We had some pictures taken recently of the kids. I think they turned out so cute. If you would like to see them all, here they are.

Katie at 2 months

Katie is getting so big. We took her to her 2 month check up last week and she is now 13 pds 1 ounce. She is in the 95% for weight and over 100% for height. She is a lot more active then my other babies have been. She rolled over for the first time at 1 1/2 months and already likes to put weight on her legs. Even at the hospital the nurses would comment on how strong she was. This is so unlike my other kids who were not even rolling until 6 months. I am hoping that she is going to be my little basketball player.

And I just had to put this picture up. Look at that tongue.
