Easter

We had a great Easter this year. We celebrated a week early with Jake's family with a egg hunt and dinner, and then Easter weekend my family came in. My mom still has each family a Easter basket, and I love it. She usually hides them around town (when we are at home) and we are sent with clues to find them, but since this year we were in Utah, we didn't hide them around town, instead she had each of the families do a service to get their basket, and since we were at my house, the service they did was for me. Thanks so much family for helping me out. Not only did I get an Easter basket, I got a clean house and a garden planted.

Then the kids had an Easter egg hunt.


We also got chicks this year for Easter. The kids love them.





Brooklyn's Birthday


Brooklyn is two. I can't believe that my baby is two. We had a great birthday for Brooklyn on April 1st. Thanks family for coming and helping us celebrate. She got some of her favorite things for her birthday... clothes, shoes and Barbies.


Brooklyn is such a sweetheart and growing into her own little personality, a very independent one. It is fun to see her learn new things and grow each day. I love so many things about Brooklyn. I love that she loves to clean. Her favorite things are to vacuum and put the clean knives and forks away. I even caught her once cleaning the toilet with a wipe once.


She love animals. She misses Peaches, the dog that was staying with us for a while. She cried when Lacy took her and she wanted to go with the dog. For Easter we got little chicks and she is completely content to just sit and watch them in the box, and I knew if I couldn't find her, she would be hiding by the chick's box dumping food in for them.

I love it when out of the blue she yells, "Ayy you guys!" (Off of the electric company) The last time she did it was when we were eating our breakfast, it was quiet, she had on these awesome 3-D glasses, and suddenly she yells "Ayy you guys!"

She loves music, painted toenails, dancing, sucking on her blanket, her milk, all her Aunts, her babies, even the one in her tummy, being outside, and putting on my mascara. If I ever can't find Brooklyn, I know she is upstairs getting into my makeup. We love having her in our family.

Introducing...

... baby #4.




It's a girl, and we are so excited. So now that will make 3 girls and 1 boy. William was pretty disappointed that he was not going to have a little brother at first. I don't know if he was more disappointed that he would not have a little brother or that he would not be able to name the little brother Lightening William Proctor. He has gotten used to the idea now have having another sister and is excited. Now he wants to name the baby Shiny, like the dinosaur off of the Dinosaur Train cartoon. I think Hannah convinced him that Shelly sounded close enough and would be a better name for a little girl. So we will see if mom and dad have any say in what the baby's name gets to be.

I am finally back to the blogging world

I made it through another first trimester!!! I am pregnant and due in August and we are so excited to have number four. The past few months have been very hard. This pregnancy was the first time that I thought, I can't do this again, this has to be the last. And then at the worst moments, my kids would come in and say the cutest things, or just give me a hug and kiss and then I was reminded why I am doing this. The sweetest thing was William, he made sure that every night I had his little white dog to sleep with. He told me it would help be feel better and sleep good. And for some reason, it did. So after these amazing moments with my kids, I think I can do it... one more time.

Jake was so wonderful through the whole thing. He was pretty much the mom and dad. He would get up early and before work have the kids fed and ready, and then bring me breakfast in bed right before he went to work. Then when he would come home after work, he would come home to a messy house, hungry kids, wife sick on the couch, and take care of everything. After he got all of us to bed, he would do the dishes and clean the house, and on weekends he would clean some more. What a sweetheart. I love him so much and am so grateful for all he did for me, never complaining, always loving, and above all, at my worst moments, (no makeup, not showered for a few days, in my pj's, and after throwing up) he would tell me how wonderful and beautiful I was. What would I do without him!

We did have a lot of help though. Family is amazing. I think that between family and friends, Jake cooked about 5 meals for the whole time I was sick. All of our families and friends were so kind and thoughtful, and every time someone made a meal for us, it was all I could do to not cry out of gratitude. (I am guessing being pregnant didn't help with that). I am SO GRATEFUL for all the help we received. One thing that I have learned from this experience is that there is strength in FAMILIES. Family make trials so much easier to bare. Thanks again to everyone that helped make these past few months a little easier.

William came running into my room this morning saying, "It is snowing outside! That means it is Christmas!!" He ran downstairs, and in a few minutes he ran back up stairs and said, "Santa came last night. He didn't leave any presents under the tree, but he got all of our toys out, (referring to all the toys the kids were playing with yesterday, and didn't put away) and Santa left his bag. It has eyes on it and it was looking at me." I had no idea what he was talking about so I started asking questions. I figured out it was just one of Hannah's bags that had a Santa face on it.
William cracks me up.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we were able to spend in Nevada with my family. Everyone was there this year so we made the most of the weekend and packed it full with fun things to do.

On Wednesday we got into town late afternoon. As we were waiting for dinner to cook, Hannah went around showing everyone her loose tooth. She got to Uncle Micah, and after Micah saw it he decided he wanted to pull it out for her. So amazingly, she just stood there, (which she would have never done for me) and let him play with it, and before the night was over, Hannah had lost her first tooth.

That night we went to the gym and had a great time playing basketball, and gym hockey. The great thing about having a big family is that there is always enough people to have some great games.

Thanksgiving morning we woke up early and had our first annual family Turkey Trot walk/run, and then played some flag football. It was a perfect morning and a great way to start out Thanksgiving day.

We had a great Thanksgiving lunch at my grandma's house filled with great food, fun people, football, movies, and our traditional game of Scrabble.

We also helped out with the butchering this year. Jake is a natural, and I think that this experience made Adam rethinking his career options. Now he is thinking about opening his own butcher shop. Haha. All of the first timers did great. For lunch, after cutting meat, we always take the best cuts of meat and BBQ them up with some hamburgers. Talk about some good food.

Later that afternoon we went Christmas tree hunting. There is not a huge selection were we go hunting, but we always find the perfect ones among all of the cedar trees. All the kids had a great time exploring through the trees and picking cedar berries. This year Lacy and Ben found a great tree. I hope they will be able to fit it into their little apartment.


On Saturday we went caving at Whipple's Cave, which is a about an hours ride out of town. It is a big hole in the ground, about 70 feet deep. You repel down the hole and the cave shoots off from the bottom of the hole. I am always amazed every time I go in a cave at the different rock formations. It is beautiful. Especially when you can find a cave that hasn't been touched by to many people.



It was a great Thanksgiving weekend.

Halloween

We had a great Halloween weekend filled with lots of parties and candy.
We started out at Hannah's Halloween parade at school.


Friday night was our Harvest party (posted below).
Saturday we went to my cousins place for her Halloween party where she had a treasure hunt, peep eating contest, and other games.




Saturday night Jake took the kids trick 'r treating.

After trick 'r treating we went to my sister's and partied. It was a great party, and Jake even won first prize for his costume. If you can't tell what he is dressed like, he is dressed up like a runner. Way to go Jake!! High expectations are going to be set for next year Jake.
